He favours solitude within a delicately constructed vortex, spending the majority of his days situated inside the corpus callosum region of his noggin, formulating new ideas and interestingly befuddled outcomes. Boston Artist, Tofusquirrel, At The Hive Gallery In LA

Mike Franco, owner and creator of Wizard Sleeve Toys and WST Worldwide, operates a modest designer toy store online and dreams of one day dabbling with an online art gallery that will help expose flourishing and up-and-coming artists. Mike’s primary objectives are built on strong artist collaborations and now he is looking to expand his concepts and ideas into the art world. To him, there is nothing better than talented artists coming together for a common goal and helping their overall community. This time around, Mike’s focus is on gathering a group of strong women artists, with varying artistic backgrounds and talents, to form a travelling art exhibition.
The first “Feminality” event will display the works of some of the most talented female artists of their generation. The location for the premiere event will be held at the very established and well-known Hive Gallery in downtown Los Angeles and will happen on Saturday, November 21st. Uber popular Tara McPherson will be headlining …

Proletariat & Mike Dacey - Limited Edition Hand Printed Poster

Kerry from Proletariat breaks down the new limited edition of Posters he is working on with Mike Dacey:I have always wanted to expand my designs into inexpensive limited art pieces. A few months ago while visiting my friend Kenji Nakayama at his art studio, I ran into a longtime customer of mine, Michael Dacey. Mike is the genius behind all the displays at Urban Outfitters and he is a jack of all trades, but his real passion is poster art on his vintage Vandercook SP20 letterpress. After all the shit that has been happening in the world lately I figured we had to use my phrase "Men in Denim BUILD this Country, Men in Suits DESTROY It."Michael and I spent days upon days meeting up after work laying out the type and changing it, then building items out of wood, then changing them, to finally capture what both of us were feeling.
