Open call to artists to join in a group show (Opening on November 5)



Gallery 9 in Norwood, MA is seeking artists to create an original work for a show in their Norwood gallery. Interepret the theme "Looking Up" however you see it for this non-juried, all-inclusive show. Entry fee is $10 and a 10" x 10" canvas is provided on which to create your work. All work must be for sale, with prices determined by gallery management and the artist at time of drop-off. Only pieces done on this provided canvas and size will be displayed in the show, and standard commission of 60% to the artist and 40% to the gallery will be offered for all show sales. 10% off all gallery proceeds will be donated to the Norwood food pantry.  For more info about the show, please visit Custom Art Framing & Gallery 9's web site

If you are interested in taking part, here are the important dates:

Wednesday, September 1st :: First day to pick up canvases and submit entry form
October 20th :: Last day to pick up canvas and submit entry form
October 29th :: Drop off deadline for show entries
November 5th :: Opening reception, Gallery9 from 6-8pm

I will be taking part in the show, and I hope to see other local artists join in as well!
