Casey Desmond is not only one of our favorite musicians in Boston, she is also one of our favorite illustrators. She recently illustrated this majestic psychedelic deer piece that is currently displayed at the Bostonia Collectives art show at the Lincoln Arts Project Gallery in Waltham. Her art and music go hand in hand.

ArtVenue celebrated a big win yesterday at the 2011 MassChallenge Award Ceremony. MassChallenge helps early stage entrepreneurs succeed their business goals and awarded ArtVenue with a $50,000.00 grant. This is wonderful news! Call for Submission for the MFA 2012 Community Arts Initiative: The Artist Project

The Artist Project is a collaborative exhibition between an established artist, eight after-school community organizations in the Boston area, the MFA, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (SMFA). It culminates in a 6 month prominent exhibition in the Linde Family Wing of the MFA. The selected Artist will receive a substantial honorarium as well as budget for supplies relating to the project.
Artists must submit their proposals by Friday, January 13, 2012.
