Art goes overtime on the first Friday of the month with guest DJs Brenden & Alfredo from Social Studies along with DJ Knife, live performance, gallery talks, specialty cocktails, and more.

Josiah McElheny’s dazzling glass sculptures of starbursts and galaxies light up the galleries, while downstairs our café transforms into a stylish waterfront lounge.

The ICA’s Water Café will offer a small plates menu and full bar. Enjoy exhibition-themed cocktails, then take a seat on the grandstand for some summer night star-gazing. This will be a cosmic event! Social Studies is a Dance Night Curated by Deejays Brenden Wesley & Alfredo, that showcases DJs & producers from Cutting Edge Dance Labels. Previous guests have included Runaway's Jacques Renault & Marcos Cabral (On the Prowl/DFA), Justin Miller (DFA), Beg To Differ (Wurst Music Co.) Kim Ann Foxman (ex-Hercules & Love Affair) & Sleazy McQueen (Whiskey Disco/ Headtunes). This Month Brenden & Alfredo will get the Party Started at the ICA along side DJ Knife, resident and founding DJ of Fresh Produce, which won the Boston Music Award for Best DJ Dance night in last year's Boston Music Awards.

Later they'll keep the party going into the night at Good Life on Kingston Street in Downtown Boston, where they'll unveil their Secret Guest. Attendees of the ICA will receive a special pass which allows them to skip the line and grants free or reduced admission until 11:15 pm. $15 includes gallery admission, live entertainment, and a complimentary drink FREE for ICA members

Note: this event is 21+
