"Paint Pens in Purses presents "Ice Cream Girl", a collection of urban, contemporary, and low-brow artwork from the sweetest and coolest lady artists from coast to coast. Paint Pens in Purses was originally started in 2008 and has since branched out to San Francisco from our humble beginnings in Boston. The goal of Paint Pens in Purses is simply to create a community and to give recognition to artists we love. Paint Pens in Purses runs an online Featured Artist series, has created pop-up galleries, large scale murals, curated art shows on both coasts, and has been sponsored by Scion, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Sharpie, to name a few."
