RAW believes that every kid should be seen and heard.

At RAW, kids from a challenged city are inspired to create extraordinary works of art, a strong community, and life-affirming futures. Since 1988, RAW has passionately pursued its mission to ignite the desire to create and the confidence to succeed, using the power of the arts to transform young lives, one artist at a time. Through challenging questions and bold art concepts, we deeply engage youth through the art making process.

RAW offers over 50 free arts programs that include an award-winning film school, visual and expressive arts groups, single gender groups, summer and community programming, mentoring and leadership development programs, paid teen employment and college access for youth aged 6-19. RAW serves over 1,100 youth each year through weekly groups and outreach initiatives.
