Boston, MA (February 6, 2014)—The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (SMFA) provides an education for artists, by artists. Their diverse faculty inspires and motivates students through open dialogue, individual teaching philosophies, and personal experiences. February 6–March 15, 2014, SMFA is pleased to present the “SMFA Faculty Exhibition” celebrating 22 faculty members who have recently taken sabbaticals, featuring a range of works and disciplines, including video, painting, performance, printmaking, photography, and graphic arts.

YellowKorner Photo Gallery Opening in Burlington

YellowKorner photo gallery in Burlington is hosting an artist feature/open house party to celebrate its arrival to the Burlington Mall on January 30th.  The evening will be a housewarming celebration with complimentary cocktails provided by Deep Eddy Vodka and an introduction to what has made Parisian based YellowKorner and its amazing concept an international influencer in photographic art. YellowKorner has 80 galleries worldwide with Burlington being its very first in Massachusetts.
Stop by, have a drink, and browse featured photographs by Formento + Formento, a husband and wife team that produces amazing, classic American cinema inspired works.  The gallery will be open to the public at 7pm.

"What is something you would like to ask any artist if you could?"

The Boston LGBTQIA Artist Alliance is having an artist talk Friday, February 7th from 6 - 8 PM. It will be a Q&A featuring the artists from their current exhibition, PLAY.The event will be held at the 
Male Center in the South End, 571 Columbus Ave  (at the intersection of Columbus Ave and Mass Ave). 
So far The Boston LGBTQIA Artist Alliance has put on three exhibitions and plan to expand to larger spaces. Each exhibition is up for two months, and in the second month they hold a special event that relates to the exhibition theme.  These special events include unique and exciting performances by local artists.
